im so lucky

I just wanted to brag a little about the beautiful flowers I got this week. The first were a "just because" from Aaron. Abby was with him when he bought them and he told her they were a present for me...so first thing Abby did when they gave them to me was to sing Happy Birthday, because I guess she thinks your birthday is the only time you get presents. The second oh so beautiful bunch of flowers is from Abby. She picked them herself and arranged them all by herself too. I just love them and really don't care that they are really weeds and that they are probably (among other things) what are making me sneeze so much around the house all the sudden. It was just so thoughtful of my sweet Abby and my sweet husband and that is why I am soooo lucky!!!

funny sleeper

So Emma is our funny little sleeper. She can fall asleep at such odd times. Like for instance I think since January she HASN'T fallen asleep in nursery twice now. And the other day while Aaron and Abby were at one of Aaron's soccer games I got Emma something to eat only to come back 5 minutes later to find her fast asleep still clutching her spoon. I desperately tried to wake her up seeing that it was only 6pm and not quite bedtime and didn't want to chance a very early wake up call the next day, but no good. She was out!!! Our next big adventure with Emma and sleep is getting a "big girl bed" very very soon. So that should be fun!!

5th Anniversary

Tomorrow April 26th is our 5th anniversary!!! I saw this "questionnaire" on a friends blog and thought it couldn't be better to do on such an occasion (thanks shari)
WHAT IS HIS NAME? Aaron Robert
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MARRIED? 5 years!!!
HOW LONG DID YOU DATE? We only dated 3 months before we were engaged.
WHO EATS MORE SWEETS? I would have to say that is a tie. We both cant resist cookies and milk after the girls go to bed.
WHO SAID I LOVE YOU FIRST? ummm honestly I don't remember. I am sure it was him though:)
WHO IS TALLER? Aaron is, but there is a reason you dont see me in very tall shoes much.
WHO CAN SING BETTER? For sure that is Aaron. I admit that I have a pretty crappy singing voice.
WHO IS SMARTER? OK as much as I would like to say that is me...Aaron gets this one too.
WHO DOES THE LAUNDRY? I am thinking I shouldn't have started this because it is starting to make me look bad, but I hate laundry. I can start it, but just have a hard time finishing it. This is one thing that drives Aaron crazy so he does a lot of laundry too.
WHO PAYS THE BILLS? That would be Aaron again. But he was a banker before he was in the military so...He just does it so well that I just let him do it.
WHO SLEEPS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BED? I am a weird sleeper, we dont really have side of the bed..it is more of a he sleeps wherever I dont want to that night. I switch it up a lot. This makes him crazy too, especially if he comes into bed later and its dark and finds me on "his side"..sorry!
WHO COOKS DINNER? I do, unless its something that has to be grilled then that is all Aaron. He does help out a lot though.
WHO DRIVES? Aaron does. I just really hate to drive.
WHO IS MORE STUBBORN? I guess that depends on which one of us you ask..I say Aaron.
WHO KISSED WHO FIRST? Again, not so sure. I think we just both knew it was coming and well we just kissed each other. So umm yeah
WHO ASKED WHO OUT FIRST? Aaron and I never really dated at first we just sort of "hung out" everyday!! I did notice him first and told my friend that I wanted to go out with him, Aaron didn't ask only because he thought that I had a boyfriend at the time. So I don't know somehow it just happened.
WHO PROPOSED? Again, that all depends on who you ask. The first time Aaron and I were apart for longer than 24 hours was when he went back home to Missouri for Thanksgiving. That is when we both decided that we wanted to marry each other. He says that I said the words while talking on the phone "will you marry me" I dont remember it exactly that way, but even if I did I dont think that counts. Aaron officially asked me in December..with a ring and everything. It wasn't the setting he had originally planned out, but hey I didn't know what he was trying to do and had just had a really bad day at work and just wanted to get to bed!
WHO WEARS THE PANTS? I think Aaron and I have a pretty good 50/50 relationship when it comes to wearing the pants.

a few updates

So we don't have any new pictures for this blog because well we don't have a camera at the moment!! But just would like to let everyone know that things are going very well for us right now. Aaron is keeping very busy. He is playing soccer for the Air Force team here on base. He is also busy with scouts and work. I am just trying to keep busy with the kids and getting ready for the baby to come (I know its still a long time till then, but I have been in the super cleaning mode which means going through things and de-junking and reorganizing EVERYTHING) I will have to admit that I haven't made much progress, but I am working on it. Abby is just getting bigger and bigger...she has her dance recital the end of May and is dancing all the time at home. She is becoming the little mommy and has been so good with Emma lately. However as I am writing this she is showing me all her lovely artwork she has done all over her arms and legs. NICE! Other big news with abby is she made it into the Pre-k program at the elementary school. They have a lottery (which i never heard of before) They only have 20 spots and about 70+ people showed up..they put all the names in a big box and pull them out one by one. Abby made it so it was really exciting. So she will start school this August and ride a bus and everything!! She cant wait. Emma is well Emma..aka little miss attitude. She has got this thing lately that is a "i'll do what I want when I want" attitude. She has been saying things like "I dont want to" or if I tell her no she will point her finger at me get a stern look on her face and say "be nice mommy!" What a stinker. Although it really is hard not to laugh when she does these things. She is also into wearing Abby's underwear over her pants..(superman style) I dont get it..maybe its her way of telling us she is ready to be potty trained. We also purchased a Nissan Quest. That is super exciting for me so we aren't doing to whole one car thing anymore..and we will actually be able to fit the baby in the car with us when he comes. Well I think that is about it...hopefully we can get some more updated pictures soon!

So this is Abby's favorite book right now. She even asked the librarian while we were at the library the other day for story time for the book "eats bugs". She and Emma both are very fascinated by bugs. I try to tell them that bugs are gross. Emma agrees, but Abby just tells me "bugs are yummy"! I used to tell her that there were bugs in her ears or in the bath tub so that she would let me clean out her ears or not drink the bath water (got that from my mom...thanks mom) but it really doesn't work anymore because she she tells me that they taste good! I am just waiting to catch her actually eat a real bug..I mean she used to when she was a lot smaller..I would find half earwigs in her mouth on a few occasions. Anyway just thought that I would share Abby's favorite book (which by the way is a pretty cute book..Emma thinks its funny and just says "yuck" the whole time...at least she gets it)

UNbirthday party

No, it wasn't Abby's birthday (that isn't until July) but she woke up from a nap..yes, crazy abby took a nap. Anyway, she was determined to have a birthday party. So, what does daddy do? He runs her to the grocery store to pick out a birthday cake and we had to sing to her and everything!! It was actually fun, I just hope she doesn't expect a party whenever she wants and can actually wait for her real birthday! I think she is stuck on it being her birthday lately because I made the mistake of telling her that her baby brother would be coming for her birthday (he is due the day before). So really I guess the birthday thing is my fault she is just lucky to have such a good daddy!! I mean dad (she doesn't like him to be called "daddy" anymore its just "dad" now..go figure)
